Boston Bruins Set To Trade Another Top Forward? A Surprising Development Has Surfaced

Given how this season has gone for the Boston Bruins, it's easy to understand why they could be sellers at the NHL trade deadline. They have been way too inconsistent, and are currently not in a playoff spot.

Morgan Geekie has surfaced as a potential trade candidate for the Boston Bruins due to him not having a contract extension in place similar to captain Brad Marchand.

A lot of fans were not happy with Morgan Geekie earlier in the year. He had a really slow start for the Bruins, but has turned his season around since then.

Geekie after having a slow start now sits with 16 goals, 28 points and 80 hits on the season in 51 games this year.

Lately Geekie has been one of the Bruins most offensive players besides David Pastrnak, and sits third just behind Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak.

A big part of his success has come from playing with David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha. The trio has created really good chemistry together.

Due to the chemistry these three players currently have, it would be smart for the Bruins to keep Geekie, despite the trade rumours.

If fans were asked earlier in the year if the Bruins should trade Geekie or sign him to an extension, majority of the fan base would've said to trade him, but if you were to ask the same question now, majority would probably say to keep him around.
