Brad Marchand had nothing but good things to say about Bruins fans in a recent statement about them and their upcoming game against a rival.

The next game the Bruins play on Sunday will be an important one against the Montreal Canadiens as it will mark the 100th year since the two teams first faced off against each other.

Even though the Boston Bruins have been struggling quite a bit this year, their fans have stuck beside them and supported them, and that didn't go unrecognized by the Bruins captain.

Following practice this morning Brad Marchand was asked about the connection the Bruins had with fans heading into their Centennial celebration tomorrow against the Montreal Canadiens, and Marchand had nothing but good things to say.

Here is what he had to say:

Brad Marchand on appreciating the connection with fans ahead of the #NHLBruins Centennial celebration tomorrow: "I really do...the fans are very very passionate and they support us all the way through...it is special and you really grow to love being apart of the city."

The Boston Bruins are currently tied with 25 points for the first and second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference, but all the teams ahead of them have games in hand.

The Boston Bruins have played 25 games, where the Philadelphia Flyers who sit in the second wild card spot has one game in hand, and the New York Rangers who sit in the first wild card spot have three games in hand on the Bruins.

A win tomorrow against the Montreal Canadiens in their Centennial celebration would go a long way for the Boston Bruins who ended losing a tough game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night 2-1.
