Brad Marchand has been a huge reason for the Florida Panthers success during the Stanley Cup Playoffs this year. During the finals, he has taken his game to another level and just made NHL history.

During games one and two, Brad Marchand played a huge role. In game one he ended up scoring a power play goal to give the Panthers a lead in the first period, but they would end up losing the game.
Game two, Brad Marchand was back on the scoresheet for the Florida Panthers scoring two big goals, including the game winning goal in double overtime.
Big Game Player. Always has been, always will be 🚨
His play continued into game three against the Edmonton Oilers where he would end up making Stanley Cup Finals history.

Brad Marchand Makes History

During the opening minute into game 3, Brad Marchand scored his fourth goal of the series and made NHL history.
TSN's Pierre LeBrun reported that Marchand, 37-years-old is now the oldest player to score a goal in each of their first three games of a Stanley Cup Final.
Frank Mahovlich was the previous player to hold this record whenever he did it at the age of 35-years-old during the 1973 NHL playoffs, playing for the Montreal Canadiens.

This one hurts for Bruins fans.. especially considering the Boston Bruins only got back a conditional second-round pick for him, it's tough to see him do what he is doing for one of their biggest rivals.

Brad Marchand is just adding value, to what is going to be a big pay day for him in the off-season.

Marchand has appeared in 20 playoff games so far this year, and has eight goals, 10 assists for 18 points, and the Panthers now hold a 2-1 series lead over the Edmonton Oilers.

In 20 games this post-season, Marchand now has eight goals and 18 points. This includes scoring a short-handed goal and the double overtime winner against the Oilers in Game 2.
