Brad Marchand Reportedly Heading To A Canadian Team In The Off-Season

The Boston Bruins may have lost their last Captain for good, if he decided not to return to wear a spoked-B at the end of the season. Will Brad Marchand instead head home to Canada?
The Four Nations Face-Off set a tone that has defined the way we look at hockey this season.
Players got to play for their home countries, and Brad Marchand was one Bruins who suited up for Canada. Fast forward to March, and just as soon as he returned from the international competition, he's wearing a new crest, a Panther.
There's been no discussion of an extension between himself, and Bill Zit yet that we know of.
This gives us an idea of where he could be headed after his time in Florida is done, and his $6.125 million contract expires.
According to NHL Insider John Buccigross
Marchand could end up signing with the Bruins' rival Montreal Canadiens in the summer, should he decide not to return to TD Garden after all of this.
Marchand could be the kind of spark the Canadiens need to push their team forward and complete their rebuild.
All the while, he'd be the one to help give the team some much-needed leadership to drive them into the post-season.
Just imagine how ridiculous the Canadiens top-six would look with Marchand, given they already have Cole Caulfied and
Nick Suzuki in the lineup.
While he's not the elite goal scorer he used to be, he's still a useful top-six forward and is a known playoff performer with the Bruins.
It'll be exciting to see him play as a Panther, despite the heartbreak of it all.
What won't be exciting is if, he doesn't return to Boston and instead heads to another rival organization with the Canadiens.
