Although the Stanley Cup Finals is still ongoing, and Brad Marchand is a part of it, there has been a shocking development in Marchand possibly signing with the Toronto Maple Leafs during free agency.
After the Boston Bruins traded Brad Marchand to the Florida Panthers, there was talks that he could return during the off-season if he wanted too.
As time went on, and more information surfaced regarding the dispute between Marchand and Don Sweeney, it became pretty clear that a reunion is not likely to take place.
With Marchand directly requesting a trade to the Florida Panthers, it makes it hard to see him coming back.
Now there is a lot of speculation that Marchand could sign with another rival of the Boston Bruins in the Toronto Maple Leafs.
