Bruins Fans Calling For Fan Favorite To Be Traded After Being Mistreated By The Bruins Organization
The Boston Bruins are in a conundrum, as they have a great prospect in Fabian Lysell. But he cannot seem to get the kind of playing time in the NHL to develop, and now fans are calling out the front office to trade him.
This was after the Boston Bruins gave the former 1st-round pick Fabian Lysell, only 1 game in the NHL.
He'd only receive 11 minutes of playing time, and under Head Joe Sacco was sent back down to the AHL, in order to gain more experience.
While Sacco claims that Lysell didn't do anything wrong with his short-stint in the league, he could see the NHL soon.
But is this the best utilization of your talent? You have players like Justin Brazeau who earn more ice time with less production.
«The message was that he didn't hurt his chances, obviously, for an opportunity at some point,» interim head coach Joe Sacco told reporters, per a team-provided video. «Played a good game, did some good things out there, was an opportunity for him to get his NHL game. He got it based on his play. It was based on merit. He's done a good job in Providence. I think the message is continue to build on your game. It did not hurt your chances for another opportunity here at some point.
«We're going on the road. We're playing against Washington. They have a different lineup, so we're going with a different lineup against them.»
Last season in 56 games, the 2021 1st round pick produced 50 points( 15 G, 35 A) and this season has continued his tear.
At what point do you stop and realize you're wasting young talent, and could benefit from playing him in the NHL or trading him?
The Bruins don't seem to share a cohesive vision with their prospect as they continually get the runaround.
Whether it's Matthew Poitras, Fabian Lysell, or Georgii Merkulov.
At what point is having a prospect pool even worth it if you just trade them all?
