He is an RFA and will be arbitration eligible, with a QO of $840K for the centerman.

With the ascension of John Beecher into the 4th line center position, and Don Sweeney operating on a mandate to improve the Bruins, could Lauko be the odd man out?

Justin Brazeau is another name, who could end up being the death knell for Lauko's time in the Bruins organization as Brazeau would prove useful in multiple scenarios including the powerplay, while Lauko rode the pine for four games.

Lauko's utilization in the playoffs was limited, as he played 5 games and only scored 1 point when the Bruins needed more offensive firepower.

It appears, with Justin Brazeau and John Beecher, Lauko could simply be an UFA is Sweeney refuses to give the centerman a qualifying offer.
