As the Boston Bruins gear up for another showdown against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs, the anticipation is palpable. With both teams well-acquainted with each other's strategies, even the smallest advantage could make a difference.

In their preparations for Game 1 on Saturday night, the Bruins appear to be keeping their cards close to their chest. Head coach Jim Montgomery was tight-lipped when asked about the starting goaltender, refusing to disclose whether Linus Ullmark or Jeremy Swayman would take the lead.

"We have decided but we're not sharing it with you guys," Montgomery stated firmly. "I think [Don Sweeney] explained it great yesterday."

General manager Don Sweeney had similarly evaded questions about the goaltending situation the day before. Despite media probing, Sweeney remained coy, emphasizing the team's confidence in their goaltending duo.

"We're very confident in our goaltending," Sweeney affirmed. "The noise that goes on outside is not necessarily filtered as much inside as what people may believe because our goalies know what the plan is and we're comfortable with it."

With Game 1 looming closer, the suspense is reaching its peak. Soon, the mystery surrounding the starting goaltender will be unveiled as the Bruins and the Maple Leafs face off tonight.

Montgomery on who will start Game 1: «One of the guys wearing pads.»
