Chicago Blackhawks Ultimately Disrespect Ex-Boston Bruin Pat Maroon Ahead of His Retirement and It's Ugly

The CChicago Blackhawks have decided to disrespect former Boston Bruins Pat Maroon's legacy by scratching him ahead of his retirement.
GM Kyle Davidson, Anders Sorensen, and the Chicago Blackhawks organization should be ashamed of themselves.
Interim Coach Anders Sorensen hasn't given the Blackhawks and
Connor Bedard the kind of coaching they need to win, and
Pat Maroon is the latest casualty of his hubris. The 800-game NHL veteran was removed from the lineup ahead of the end of the season.
As Sorensen pulled a move worthy of Mike Babcock's fame, instead of letting
Maroon take the ice one more time before becoming a full-time father after his NHL career concludes, he made him a healthy scratch.
This is the second game in which
Maroon has become a scratch for the Blackhawks, and the team only has five games remaining in the NHL's regular season.
His statement on March 22nd makes it seem sadder as his heart was ready to give it all this stretch.
"I'm just going to finish this year like every game is my last game, you know, I'm going to play as hard as I can,"
Instead of playing hard for his teammates, he'll get a view of the ice from the press box thanks to a Coach who won't get a shot in the NHL again for some time, if we take a look at how Luke Richardson's future has panned out.
Blackhawks lineup in Pittsburgh:
Donato-Bedard-Mikheyev
Teravainen-Nazar-Bertuzzi
Slaggert-Moore-Kurashev
Reichel-Veleno-Foligno
Vlasic-Rinzel
Korchinski-Murphy
Kaiser-Levshunov
Knight
Soderblom
What a send off for the former Boston Bruin, and three-time Stanley Cup champion.
Soon after announcing his retirement, he'd produce 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) the day afterward. As a fourth-liner, this healthy scratch doesn't stand to reason.
Sorensen and the Blackhawks should be ashamed of themselves.
