With the Boston Bruins still searching for a new head coach in the off-season, a recent report revealed that they may be bringing back a former head coach for their vacant position.
One of the top priorities for Don Sweeney should be bringing in a new head coach, that will be able to connect with the veteran players along with the younger players for the 2025-26 season.
Bruins To Bring Back Former Head Coach
Elliotte Friedman on one of his most recent 32 Thoughts podcast stated that the Boston Bruins may actually be considering Joe Sacco for the full-time job, and that Jay Woodcroft is definitely in the mix as well.
Elliotte Friedman on the 32 Thoughts Podcast:
"I'm under the impression that Joe Sacco as of us recording this late Thursday night is not out of the picture (In Boston). And I still think Jay Woodcroft is in the midst of this too."
Jimmy Murphy backed this up by stating that if Jay Leach ends up landing the head coaching job, Sacco will be handed an offer for an assistant role once again with the Bruins.
«To add to this, I've had more than one source tell me that if Jay Leach becomes the head coach, Joe Sacco would stay on as an assistant if he wants to.»
There is still a lot of speculation going on for the Bruins and their new head coach, but it seems like things are coming to an end soon.
