Entering the new season, the Boston Bruins are looking to add some more skill, and there have been speculation that Kirill Kaprizov could be a player of interest. Now NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has confirmed his fate with the organization.

This off-season, Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney ended up making a bunch of moves.
To be exact, he signed nine players to contracts, mainly just one year deals with a couple of players signed to longer deals.
With that being said, the Boston Bruins want to be a more competitive team entering the new season, but are still lacking skill.
Minnesota Wild's super star Kirill Kaprizov has been in a bunch of trade rumors this off-season, considering his future with the organization is in the air.
The Boston Bruins have been a team linked to Kaprizov, with the cap space they have open beginning next season, and recently things got taken to a new level.
Recent reports suggested that Kaprizov ended up turning down a eight-year, $16 million deal that would have made him the highest paid player in NHL history.
Kirill Kaprizov rejected an eight-year, $16M AAV ($128M total) offer from the Wild, which would have made him the highest paid player in NHL history, per @frank_seravalli.

Now, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman just confirmed Kaprizov's fate with the Bruins organization.

Kaprizov could fetch a $20 million contract

After the report of Kaprizov turning down a $16 million deal with the Wild, Elliotte Friedman revealed that there are some teams that may be willing to offer him a seven year deal worth $19-20 million.
Elliotte Friedman: Re Kaprizov extension: For him to say no convinces me...they know something else is out there that's bigger; there has to be somebody out there with a 7x$19m or $20m - 32 Thoughts Podcast (9/11)
If this were the case, the Boston Bruins would not be in the conversation to sign him as they only have nearly $20 million in cap space.
