Ex-Boston Bruins career hits a low following a recent announcement

A former Boston Bruins forwards career hit a low after signing with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
This off-season, Don Sweeney and the Boston Bruins made a bunch of changes, and some players were not re-signed.
One of those players was Vinni Lettieri. After not being re-signed by the Boston Bruins, he ended up signing with the Toronto Maple Leafs, and now his career has hit a new low.
Yesterday, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced that Lettieri was placed on waivers, and will report to the AHL if not claimed.
Along with Lettieri, the Toronto Maple Leafs also placed Benoit-Olivier Groulx on waivers.

Bruins acquired Lettieri in a trade
Back in 2024, the Boston Bruins ended up trading Jakub Lauko to the Minnesota Wild and in return the main package they got back was Vinni Lettieri.
Lettieri was acquired by Boston from Minnesota in June 2024 with a 2024 fourth-round draft pick (defenseman Elliott Groenewold) in exchange for forward Jakub Lauko and a 2024 fourth-round draft pick.Jan 13, 2025
During his time with the Boston Bruins, Lettieri did not really perform with the Boston Bruins, hence why they didn't bring him back.
Lettieri appeared in 26 games with the Boston Bruins last season, scoring 3 goals, 2 assists for 5 points while being a minus-9.
It'll be interesting to see if Lettieri gets a chance with the Leafs this season.
