A recent report revealed that new teammates, Brad Marchand and Nate Schmidt have cleared the air of some reported drama that happened when Marchand was apart of the Boston Bruins.

Marchand and Schmidt don't have a big history which is surprising considering how much the Bruins and Panthers hated each other, but they have had their moments.
When Marchand and the Bruins were in Florida for their season opener, Schmidt was not in the lineup.
But not even a week later, the two teams met up once again, and Schmidt was in the lineup this time resulting in the two going after it.
Florida ended up once again beating the Boston Bruins for the second time in less than a week to kick off the season, and it saw Marchand get into altercations with multiple of his new teammates.
This would be the final negative interaction Marchand had with the Panthers before being a member of the team, because the next time they met up, Marchand was already traded to Florida.
Schmidt and Marchand didn't have much beef, but there was some there:
«I think he jumped me twice this year already,» Schmidt said after Florida beat the Oilers 5-4 in double-overtime on Friday night.

After scoring the double overtime game winner in game 2, it was revealed that they cleared the air on their beef:
«We've hashed it out,'' Schmidt said. «He bought me Dairy Queen once, so, we're good.»

The entire Florida Panthers team has a lot of respect for Marchand including head coach Paul Maurice:
«Brad's an honest man, and that's why he fits in our room,'' Maurice said. «He loves the game. He loves the people around him. He's very open, very gregarious, so he just fits right in. He completed accepted. An incredibly positive human being.»

Said Bennett: «He's just an absolute dog. He's got that dog in him. It's incredible. His leadership, his energy, his battle just inspires the group.»
