Following practice, Marco Sturm met with the media and revealed that goaltender Joonas Korpisalo stepped away from the Bruins due to a family matter.
Sturm confirmed that there is nothing wrong with Korpisalo, but did not speak on when he will be back with the team.

Some worrying news surfaced today for the Boston Bruins as they were down a goaltender during practice.
Joonas Korpisalo was the Bruins goaltender during their 5-4 comeback win against the New York Rangers on Tuesday.
But today during practice some worrying news surfaced regarding Korpisalo.
Korpisalo missing from practice
Today, the Boston Bruins hit the ice for practice after having a day off yesterday, but were missing Joonas Korpisalo.
Korpisalo was not apart of both groups that hit the ice today, and at the moment, the reason for his absence is unclear.
Korpisalo appeared in 27 games for the Boston Bruins posting an 11-10-3 record with a .893 SV%, and a 2.90 goals against average.
There is no gaurentee that Korpisalo is going to be the Bruins backup goaltender this season, as head coach Marco Sturm confirmed that everyone is going to have to earn their position this year.
