Last season, one of the Boston Bruins biggest struggles was on defense.
The fact that they dealt with a lot of injuries on defense last season did not help them at all.
Sturm took things into his own hands though, and stated that the Boston Bruins are going to need Zadorov to be a leader for the Bruins this season, especially if they want to get back to being competitive once again.
Marco Sturm on Nikita Zadorov: «We need him this year. We need him to be a leader, be a presence on the ice, and be one of the better D moving forward.»
After calling him out to the media, Nikita Zadorov responded to him in an unexpected way.

Things weren't looking good for the Bruins off the hop, as they trailed 4-1 to the Rangers, but made an impressive comeback.
After being down 4-1, the Bruins rallied, scoring three unanswered goals to tie the game up at 4-4.
In overtime, Nikita Zadorov stepped up after being called out by Marco Sturm, and ended up scoring the game winner for the Bruins.
After scoring the goal,
Zadorov did the Irish goodbye where he skated directly off of the ice.

What a way for Zadorov to respond, hopefully he can be impactful this season for the Bruins as they look to get back to being a competitive team.
