A major twist has surfaced revealing the Boston Bruins could trade Jeremy Swayman instead of Linus Ullmark.

A lot of rumours have come up involving Ullmark, and it seems like a trade will happen soon, but Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe reported the possibility of trading Swayman instead of Ullmark.

Dupont reported that instead of signing Swayman to a long-term deal, the Bruins would extend Ullamrk and trade Swayman, this could be a better way to go for the Bruins moving forward.

Jeremy Swayman had one of his best years with the Bruins, where he even stole the show for them in the playoffs putting up a 2.15 GAA and a .933 SV% in 12 starts for the team.

With this being said his trade value would be much higher than Linus Ullmarks, and would give the Bruins a better chance at filling different holes in their roster that they need, over trading Ullmark.

Atlantic Notes: Swayman, Bussi, Houle

The chances of this happening are very slim, as it seems like Ullmark talks are starting to heat up, but it's never not an option.
