Andrew Peeke could be on his way out
There is a good chance that the Boston Bruins are going to miss the playoffs again, and if they do, Andrew Peeke could be a player that the Boston Bruins move on from.
Peeke is entering his final year of his contract with the Boston Bruins, and could be a popular player for contending teams if they don't sign him to an extension.
Big right-shot defenseman are hard to come by, and if the Bruins do want to trade him, there is no doubt that he will gain a bunch of trade interest.
Because of this, the Boston Bruins would be able to get a solid return for Peeke in a trade according to The Hockey News.
While Peeke is not the flashiest of players on the Bruins' roster, the potential for him to garner trade interest is undoubtedly there. Playoff teams are always on the hunt for big right-shot defenseman, and Peeke is exactly that. Thus, the Florida native would have the potential to get the Bruins a decent return in a potential swap if they moved him.
Peeke appeared in 76 games for the Boston Bruins this past season where he scored 1 goal, 16 assists for 17 points with 105 hits, and 126 blocks.
