One significant issue regarding a trade that has surfaced between the Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks has surfaced by prominent NHL insider, Elliotte Friedman.
Boston Bruins forward, Pavel Zacha, has been brought up quite frequently in trade rumors as of late, and one organization that is seemingly extremely interested in acquiring him is the Vancouver Canucks.
At the time, Vancouver is in search for a second-line centerman, such as Pavel Zacha, and Sportnet's Elliotte Friedman recently confirmed the Canucks' interest.
"Pavel Zacha and Vancouver. My buddy Rick Dhaliwal reported that the Canucks had contacted the Bruins this week about Zacha. That's true and I think that's been going on for quite some time. I think it's all the way going back to the summer. The Canucks and Bruins have been on and off about this. You know, Zacha's not in the last year of his deal, he has another year. Teams are looking for centers, Boston doesn't have to do here it doesn't want to do. But this has kind of been a dance that the Canucks and some other teams seeing if they can pry Zacha out of there." Friedman stated.
Friedman continued:
"One thing about Vancouver though in this case, I do not believe they are on Zacha's no-trade list."
However, new insight has revealed that the Canucks' pursuit in Zacha may be harder than anticipated.
Significant issue surfaces for Vancouver Canucks in pursuit of Pavel Zacha
If these trade talks progress between the Bruins and the Canucks, new insight suggests that it would cost Vancouver quite a lot, as a source gave an update to James Murphy of RG.org recently.
"According to this source, if things do continue to go south for the Boston Bruins, one player on the Vancouver Canucks roster that the Bruins could ask about, if they haven't already, is 23-year-old, 6-foot-3, 229-pound defenseman Victor Mancini." Murphy said.
That being said, it has been reported that Boston may even seek to acquire Victor Manici in this trade, which would be a major decision on the Canucks' behalf.
