The Boston Bruins have two games remaining on their five game road trip, and a recent announcement from their head coach confirmed that Mark Kastelic has officially left the team, and will not finish the road trip.

Entering tonight's game against the Los Angeles Kings, the Boston Bruins are going to have a tough challenge ahead of them and are going to have to do so without Mark Kastelic in the lineup.
Yesterday morning following practice, Boston Bruins head coach Joe Sacco revealed that Mark Kastelic suffered an upper-body injury, and would not be available for the remainder of the trip, as he would be returning to Boston.
#Bruins forward Mark Kastelic has returned to Boston and will miss the remainder of this trip with an upperbody ailment.
The Boston Bruins were definitely missing his presence on the ice yesterday as they dropped their fifth straight game in a row, losing 3-1 to the San Jose Sharks.
A top prospect is getting a big shot in the lineup because of his absence though.

Mark Kastelic's Replacement

Since Mark Kastelic will not be available for the remainder of the trip, Fabian Lysell is getting a big opportunity with the Boston Bruins.
Joe Sacco revealed that Lysell would be taking Mark Kastelic's place in the lineup, and played top line minutes with Elias Lindholm, and Marat Khusnutdinov.
Coach Sacco on Fabian Lysell subbing in for Mark Kastelic: "Lysell's gonna start out on the Lindholm line...Kasty went back to Boston, he's not gonna be here for the remainder of the trip. He's out with an upper-body injury."
Lysell definitely did not look out of place either, although some fans called him out for not supporting his defence in the defensive zone, and for not going to the dirty areas.
Fabian Lysell last night at all strengths:

81.78% XGF% (1st)
77.78% CF% (1st)
0.2 iXG (2nd behind Pastrnak)
1 iHDCF (T-1st)
5 iCF (T-3rd with Zadorov)

No points, but a pretty good start. #NHLBruins
Lysell can definitely make a case on this road trip for the Bruins to have to play him if he keeps playing like this.
