A Bruins $6.4 million top defenseman may have just lost his roster spot to a rookie who recently made his debut.
Mason Lohrei has been terrible to start the beginning of the season for the Boston Bruins.
Offensively, Lohrei has been great so far, scoring 1 goal and five assists for 6 points in 11 games for the Bruins, but defensively he has been a liability.
He has been paired with Charlie McAvoy, but the Bruins had to break them up because of how terrible it was.
Sturm ended up taking Lohrei out of the lineup because of how bad he has been, and the Bruins have been playing much better.
Has Lohrei lost his roster spot?
Since coming out of the lineup, the Bruins have won three straight games, and Sturm has placed a rookie in his place in Jonathan Aspirot.
Lohrei has already been scratched for the past three games, and going based off the lines this morning, it looks like he is once again going to be scratched.

It's unclear when Lohrei will get another shot in the lineup, but for now it looks like he has lost his spot to a rookie defenseman who recently made his NHL debut.
Do you think Lohrei is going to get another shot in the Bruins lineup soon?
