Rich Keefe Fires Back At Boston Bruins Captain Brad Marchand And Humiliates Himself
Rich Keefe, the reporter who started a rumour about Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak, responded to Brad Marchand and humiliated himself.
Friday, following the Bruins sixth straight loss Rich Keefe off of the Jones and Keefe podcast, started a rumour that David Pastrnak has become a big problem in the Bruins locker room, and told the coaching staff that he doesn't want to play on a line with Brad Marchand.
"The locker room is a disaster, and David Pastrnak is at the center of that. David Pastrnak has told the team he doesn't want to be on a line with Brad Marchand, and it may stem from Brad Marchand calling out Pastrnak for some of his play."
When responding to this rumour, Brad Marchand did not take it lightly and ended up calling for Rich Keefe's job. Take a look:
"It's unfortunate. I know reporters have a job to do. That job is to report on the team and, usually, you try to be fact-based. But when there's just blatant lies told in the media. That's where there's a problem. The fact that this guy has a platform, and he's just making stuff up, is embarrassing.
There's zero truth to what he said on the radio. This is how you lose your job very quickly. The fact that he's going to have a job after this is insane."
Marchand then doubled down by posting pictures with David Pastrnak and their wives to his social media with a caption that stated
"Wolves don't lose sleep over the opinion of sheep."
Now Rich Keefe has finally responded to Brad Marchand's comments, and he completely humiliated himself on social media.
Keefe stated that because Brad Marchand is calling for his job now, that it only validates the rumour that he started.
Now I got Marchand calling for my job? No one acts this way if the story is really false. Thanks for the confirmation.
Keefe has faced a lot of backlash on social media following this post, and many fans are asking him to reveal who his "source" is if it's so creditable and accurate, but he has yet to do so.
Things are getting heated in the Boston media, but hopefully the Bruins are able to use this as fuel and can snap their six game losing streak against the Florida Panthers today.
