The Boston Bruins are gearing up for an interesting 2025-26 NHL season that could see several trades take place, including the swap of the Bruins' top six center Pavel Zacha.

Will the playoffs looming for the Boston Bruins organization, or will they head to a full re-tool and sell off valuable assets?
Many believe the second option, that Don Sweeney's ready for some re-construction with his hard hat on.
That first move may start with forward Pavel Zacha who's been involved in trade rumors as of late, and the most recent one sends him out west.
"Zacha has been the subject of trade speculation for quite some time now. With the Bruins out of the playoff race at the 2025 NHL trade deadline, Zacha was one of the players who generated interest. While he ended up staying put, trade rumors surrounding Zacha have only continued since the start of the offseason," DeRosa said.

"With Zacha being one of the Bruins' top forwards and having a good contract, a first-round pick would likely need to be the starting point in any deal. The Flames could send the 2026 first-round pick they received from Vegas to Boston for Zacha. With Mews, the Bruins would be landing a promising prospect defenseman. The 19-year-old just had a strong season in the OHL, recording 14 goals and 82 points in 68 games. With the Bruins needing help on the right side of their defense, Mews certainly could grab their attention," DeRosa added.

Bruins receive top prospect in trade proposal with the Flames

The recent proposal from Heavy.com unveils that the Bruins would receive top prospect Henry Mews and a potential 1st round pick if a trade facilitated between the two organizations.
Flames receive: Pavel Zacha

Bruins receive: Henry Mews, 2026 first-round pick

This would, without a doubt, be a landslide deal for the Boston Bruins.
For those who don't know Henry Mews, he led the Ottawa 67s to multiple deep runs in the Ontario Hockey League playoffs and is projected to be a top-pairing right handed defenseman, a breed that's hard to come by.
Just a thought; Mason Lohrei and Henry Mews together? Bruins fans would be in for a treat for the next 10+ years!
