Signed: Boston Bruins former player officially signs a new deal
A recent announcement has revealed that a former Boston Bruins forward has officially signed a new contract.
The Boston Bruins organization has been faced with major decisions this offseason by choosing which free agents they will re-sign, and which once they will depart.
Unfortunately for some, the organization has decided not to pursue a new deal, and one player who has officially departed from the organization is
Jaxon Nelson.
During the end of the 2023/24 season, on April 2, the Boston Bruins' general manager, Don Sweeney, announced that the organization had acquired young forward,
Jaxon Nelson, to a one-year entry-level deal with an NHL cap hit of $870,000.
Nelson then spent the remainder of that season with the Boston Bruins' affiliate team, the Providence Bruins, where he underwent seven games and accumulated one goal and one point.
The following season, Nelson accumulated two goals, seven assists, totalling nine points within 35 games with the Providence Bruins.
However, once this year's offseason hit, the young forward became an unrestricted free agent (UFA), and a recent report has officially confirmed that Nelson has signed a new contract elsewhere.
Boston Bruins forward departs from the organization and makes his way to the ECHL
This was revealed on social media, via «X», that this UFA has officially signed a one-year contract with Iowa Heartlanders in the ECHL.
