Jeff Skinner rumoured to be bought out by the Buffalo Sabres following recent reports.

Originally Jeff Skinner was drafted seventh overall in the first round of the 2010 NHL entry draft by the Carolina Hurricanes and things looked promising for both sides.

In the world of sports, nothing goes perfectly and things can change we have all seen it where a high draft pick develops into nothing. This is basically the situation Jeff Skinner found himself in, in 2018.

After signing a long-term deal with the Buffalo Sabres at 8 years $72 million, seemed like a good deal at the time as Skinner was showing a lot of potential. Things didn't go to plan and Skinner hasn't proven himself to be worth that contract, now the Sabres are thinking of buying the 32 year old winger out.

It wouldn't be easy for the Buffalo Sabres to try and trade Skinner, with the contract that he has signed even at half retained not a lot of teams would be willing to give up anything decent for him.

This is leaving the Sabres with limited amount of options, hence why they are thinking of buying him out.

As seen on Bladeofsteel - Buffalo Sabres may be set to buyout veteran forward
