The Boston Bruins confirmed that Marc McLaughlin will officially be assigned to the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League after clearing the waiver wire today.
McLaughlin has officially been assigned to Providence.
After sending down McLaughlin yesterday, the Bruins have recalled Vinnie Lettieri today in preparation for their rematch against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.

Joe Sacco confirmed today that Mark Kastelic will not be available for the Bruins game tomorrow against the Lightning, so Lettieri will be in the lineup for the Bruins.
McLaughlin spent a lot of time with the Bruins, but was healthy scratched for a lot of games. This season he has just two goals in 12 games played with the Boston Bruins and is a minus-1.
