Monday night's clash against the Seattle Kraken showcased a remarkable performance from David Pastrnak, who notched a hat trick, including his 700th career point. Despite Pastrnak's heroics, the Bruins fell short, succumbing to a 4-3 shootout defeat. Pastrnak's late equalizer on the power play forced the extra frame, where the Bruins ultimately couldn't secure the win.

Post-game, coach Jim Montgomery expressed disappointment, highlighting a perceived lack of killer instinct.
«I think our play for the majority of time was really good, but not having that killer instinct,» Montgomery told NESN's Andy Brickley in his postgame interview session. «I think this is a trip where we could've had seven out of eight (points) the way we played.»

Captain Brad Marchand echoed these sentiments, emphasizing missed opportunities during the road swing.
«We had a decent road trip. We should have done better. Could have done worse,» Marchand told reporters. «Definitely some areas we need to continue to improve upon. Can't let games slip away from us. It happened a couple of times on this trip. So, it's good to get five of eight, but we should have had more.»

The Bruins now turn their focus to hosting the Vegas Golden Knights, aiming to rebound on home ice.
