The hockey community is mourning another tragic passing of a 23-year-old hockey player

A recent announcement ended up confirming that the hockey community has lost another member, in forward Evan Armit.
It was announced that Armit had passed away at the young age of 23-years-old last Sunday.
Reports confirmed that Armit ended up losing his battle with cancer at a very young age.
A statement was made on Armit's passing
"The MJHL is saddened to learn of the passing of former player, Evan Armit. Evan passed away following a courageous battle with metastic melanoma.
We send our deepest condolences to Evan's family, friends and former teammates. May you rest in peace."
Evan ended up having a pretty solid playing career in hockey, spending several years with the CAHS' Dryden Eagles.
That was until this past season where he went to play with the Worcester State University, which was Division III hockey.
While at Worcester State University, he was studying business administration and was in his second year.
Nearly a year ago, Evan ended up releasing a video on many different social media platforms, and talked about what exactly he was going through.
