Top Defenseman Charlie McAvoy Officially Returns To The Boston Bruins After Being Sidelined With An Injury

With how this season has gone for the Boston Bruins, they haven't received much good news, but today they did as an announcement confirmed that Charlie McAvoy has officially joined the Boston Bruins once again.
Charlie McAvoy has been out since the 4 Nations tournament mid-February after he was admitted to the hospital following their second game of the tournament.
It was revealed that McAvoy suffered his injury during the first game of the tournament against Team Finland, but still ended up going on to play in their second game against Team Canada.
Later on it was revealed that Don Sweeney and the Boston Bruins were not happy with how Team USA's medical team handled the McAvoy situation.
After being admitted to the hospital, Boston Bruins head physician Dr. Peter Asnis revealed what was going on with Charlie McAvoy, and why he was admitted to the hospital in the first place.
"Upon returning to Boston, he developed increasing pain, for which he was evaluated by the Boston Bruins' medical staff. After undergoing x-rays, MRIs, and bloodwork, he was diagnosed as having an infection in his right shoulder, as well as a significant injury to his AC joint.
He underwent an irrigation and debridement procedure at Massachusetts General Hospital on February 18. He remains in the hospital, where he is being treated with IV antibiotics, and his condition is improving."

He has been out of the lineup every since this took place, but now he has officially joined the Boston Bruins once again.
Charlie McAvoy Joins The Boston Bruins
Today at their practice, it was revealed that Charlie McAvoy has officially once again joined the Bruins.
McAvoy was recently skating around, but he was just skating, not shooting or stick handling, so this is huge news for the Bruins.
Charlie McAvoy is at #Bruins practice today in Anaheim in a red noncontact jersey.
Although it may be a little too late for the Bruins to make the playoffs this year, they could definitely build something down the stretch here and build on it next year.
