Trade between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs officially takes a major turn
The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs ended up combining for a trade during the NHL trade deadline, and now it's taken a major turn.
During the season, fans got to see Carlo appear in games with the Leafs, and see how he fit in with the organization, but the Boston Bruins didn't really get to see what Minten brought to the table.
Minten appeared in 6 games for the Bruins at the end of the season, but it was a small sample size.
Minten really impressive Marco Sturm
Minten has made it through two
rounds of roster cuts, and it seems like he is set to crack the Boston Bruins opening night roster.
Marco Sturm, the new head coach of the Boston Bruins has been really impressed with Minten so far, and was recently asked his thoughts on him.
"I like this kid," said Sturm of Minten. "He played great, he came in ready to go, he played like a man."
"He didn't complain about the rookie tournament," revealed Sturm. "He just did his job on and off the ice."
Minten was also placed with Jeannot, so that players will not take runs at him:
"I think it really helps for him to be playing with a guy like
Tanner Jeannot," said Sturm. "There will be no issues for him."
