The Boston Bruins have officially placed a defenseman on the waiver wire, making him available for free to all 31 other teams.

With the NHL roster deadline set for Monday, more and more teams are going to start placing players on the waiver wire.
This was the case today with the Boston Bruins, as it was just announced that they have placed defenseman Billy Sweezey on the waiver wire.
Billy Sweezey on waivers today for the Bruins. Has had a pretty solid camp and played a strong, physical game vs Flyers on Mon night. Expect more B's players headed to Providence to pass through waivers in the coming days
After being placed on the wire, any other NHL team can acquire him for free by putting in a claim.

Bruins preparing to announce more roster cuts

On September 28th, the Boston Bruins ended up making their first round of roster cuts.
Here is the full list of players that were cut:
Bruins make their first training-camp cuts:

Joey Abate, Luke Cavallin, Ty Cheveldayoff, Jackson Edward, Colin Felix, Ty Gallagher, Loke Johansson, Jake Schmaltz, Max Wanner and Simon Zajicek will report to Providence Bruins Training Camp.
The Boston Bruins are expected to make more roster cuts coming up, and there is a chance that they happen after their game against the Washington Capitals tomorrow night.
