A trusted National Hockey League General Manager just accidentally revealed where ex-Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan will head after being fired by the organization just a couple of days ago.

On Monday, the Pittsburgh Penguins decided to make a huge change within the organization by firing head coach Mike Sullivan who has been the head coach of the organization for the past 10 years.
He was hired by the Penguins in December of 2015, replacing ex-head coach Mike Johnston, and went on to lead the Penguins to back-to-back Stanley Cups. Since then, the Penguins have had a hard time getting back into the playoffs and going on a deep run.
Multiple NHL teams are looking for head coaches this off-season, including the Vancouver Canucks after Rick Tocchet informed them that he would not be returning for the 2025-26 season.
Canucks president of hockey operations, Jim Rutherford revealed that Sullivan will not be going out West for his next coaching job.
I know my good friend Mike Sullivan does not want to leave the East. He's a real good family man. I talked to him yesterday - not about coming here. Talked to him when he left Pittsburgh, and I know he wants to stay in the East.

Both the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers are looking for new head coaches this off-season.
It looks like either team has a good chance of landing Sully in the off-season, but multiple reports have suggested that the Rangers may be more of a top choice for Sullivan.
