The Boston Bruins are using their final stretch of regular season games to see what they can get out of their prospects, and two exciting prospects are set to make their NHL debuts with the team.

Today, the Boston Bruins announced that John Farinacci (forward) and Frederic Brunet (defenseman) were recalled from the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League on an emergency basis and they reassigned both Riley Duran, and Michael Callahan.
#NHLBruins have recalled forward John Farinacci and defenseman Frederic Brunet from Providence on an emergency basis; assigned forward Riley Duran and defenseman Michael Callahan to Providence.
Farinacci was originally drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the third round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, and has played the last two years with the Providence Bruins after spending three years at Harvard.
He put up nine goals, along with 28 assists for 37 points in 57 games with the Providence Bruins this season.

Joe Sacco Speaks Highly On Both Prospects

«With Farinacci, comes as advertised. Two-way player. Probably leans a little bit more to the defensive side,» Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco told reporters, per team-provided video. «Bottom-six, can kill some penalties. Be in that type of role.»

Brunet on the other hand has been catching the eye of the Bruins organization, and is described as a more "offensive-defenseman" according to head coach Joe Sacco, but he also has made strides in the defensive zone this year.
In 68 games for the Providence Bruins this season, Brunet has recorded five goals, along with 19 assists for 24 points.
«Working a lot on my defensive side is what I've been working on and I think it's got better over the last couple months,» Brunet told reporters, per team-provided video. «Obviously, I've had more responsibility with injuries, waivers and everything. So, I think getting more ice time, getting to play against the better players on the other side, just working on all the little stuff with all the coaching staff in Providence, just getting me better to be a 200-foot player. I think as a D-man I need to be good at defending and that was a big flaw of mine. I think I worked a lot on it and I think I'm ready to go.»

The Boston Bruins are taking on the New Jersey Devils for their final regular season game, and puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET at TD Garden on Tuesday night.
