The Boston Bruins are currently gearing up for their final game of the 2024-25 season, and General Manager Don Sweeney just completed a surprising four player roster move.
The Bruins took a step in the right direction in their 81st game of the year, when they ended up beating the Pittsburgh Penguins, and will look to end the season on a high note with a win in their final game, and build off of it next year.
Unfortunately the Bruins will not be in the playoffs this year, ending their current playoff streak of eight consecutive years, but they are doing things the right way to end the season by giving some prospects looks at the end of the year.
And they are doing exactly that as they have recalled two surprising prospects today to see what they can do in the Bruins final game of the year.
Don Sweeney Announces Four Player Roster Transaction
Recently, the Boston Bruins recalled Riley Duran to make his NHL debut with the team, but now it looks like they want to see what other prospects can do.
#NHLBruins have recalled forward John Farinacci and defenseman Frederic Brunet from Providence on an emergency basis; assigned forward Riley Duran and defenseman Michael Callahan to Providence.
With how the Bruins have handled prospects recently, this is nice to see.
These games mean nothing to them now, you might as well take advantage of it and see what some of your prospects can bring to the NHL level, and they are doing exactly that.
