The Florida Panthers are set to faceoff against the New York Rangers tonight for their 81st game of the season, and have completed an unexpected move with former Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand.

Bruins fans are still having a hard time adjusting to seeing Brad Marchand playing with the Florida Panthers, and it may be a move that they hold a grudge on General Manager Don Sweeney forever.
During the final minutes of the NHL trade deadline, Don Sweeney shocked the hockey world when it was announced that he was in fact trading captain Brad Marchand to the Florida Panthers.
Just a couple days later, a video was leaked showing the inside of the Bruins management room after Don Sweeney ended up breaking the news that Marchand was in fact getting traded.
It took Marchand awhile to make his debut with the Florida Panthers, considering he was injured when they traded for him, but during his first game with the team he made some history becoming the second player in the organizations history to setup a goal in overtime.
Heading into one of their last games of the year, the Panthers have made an unexpected move with the former Bruins captain.

Panthers Confirm Unexpected Move With Brad Marchand

Marchand has only appeared in nine games for the Panthers since the NHL trade deadline, and it's likely that he will not play another one following a recent announcement.
It was revealed this morning that Brad Marchand, along with three other players will not be playing tonight as they are being healthy scratched in preparation for the playoffs.

With how little Marchand has played with the Panthers you would have expected him to play the remaining two games, but it looks like the Panthers want to rest him instead.
