A Sad Announcement Was Just Made Regarding The Boston Bruins And Their Season Has Come To An End

Well it was only a matter of time for the Boston Bruins, and after their win last night it was confirmed that their season has come to an end.
Finally the Boston Bruins were able to end their 10-game losing streak last night with a massive 5-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes, and avoided tying the franchise record for most losses in a row.
Heading into their game against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Bruins still had playoff hopes (not that anyone really thought they were going to make it).
If the Bruins won, and both the New York Rangers, and Montreal Canadiens lost then the Bruins season would've continued on, but if the Rangers picked up a win, and Montreal picked up just one point, the Bruins would have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

It Was Confirmed For The Boston Bruins
Despite having one of their best games in a long time, the Boston Bruins were officially eliminated from the playoffs this year as the Montreal Canadiens ended up beating the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in regulation.
I hate to rain on the parade (no pun intended, Boston). Still, despite Saturday's win over Carolina, the #NHLBruins were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention due to Montreal's win over Philadelphia.
This is the first time since 2016 the Boston Bruins will not appear in the NHL playoffs, and it's definitely going to be different for fans.
Cam Neely revealed that they are envisioning more of a re-tool, then a full on rebuild making the off-season super interesting this summer for Bruins fans.
