Offer sheets are super complicated and because of that, it's one of the most rare things to see in the league, but there are two players the Boston Bruins may look at offer sheeting in the off-season.

The St. Louis Blues ended up offer sheeting two players in last years off-season and signed RFA's Philip Broberg, and Dylan Holloway taking them away from the Edmonton Oilers.
Boston could look to do something similar this off-season and drastically improve because of it. Elliotte Friedman recently revealed the compensation thresholds that was released by the NHL on Tuesday.
To submit an offer sheet, teams will have to use their own stock of draft picks, not ones that they have acquired from other teams, and the Bruins are only lacking a third-round pick in 2027.
Boston lacked a lot of scoring depth last season, and with that here are two forwards NESN has listed as potential offer sheet candidates for the Bruins entering the off-season.

Two Players The Bruins May Offer Sheet

Kaapo Kakko, Seattle Kraken
Kakko was a second overall pick by the New York Rangers in 2019, but has struggled to meet expectations. He ended up getting traded to Seattle after having just 14 points in 30 games.
This trade ended up working out for Kakko as he had 13 points in his first 14 games with the Kraken, and finished with a career high in points with 44 in 79 games.
The Bruins could offer sheet him a 2-year contract worth $4.5 million which would only result in them losing a second-round draft pick.
Matthew Knies, Toronto Maple Leafs
Knies is the most talked about RFA leading up to the off-season as he has established himself as a power forward with the Leafs.
He is currently in the final season of his entry-level contract and is lacking arbitration rights.
After having 29 goals, and 29 assists for 58 points, there is talk that his next contract is going to be between $5.5 and $6.5 million. If the Bruins were to offer sheet Knies, they would have to part ways with a first and third-round pick, but would get a game changing player, as long as the Leafs didn't match it.
Teams are allowed to start talking to RFA's on the night of June 30th, but they are not allowed to sign a contract until free agency.
