Brad Marchand's Teammate Sam Bennett Sends The Edmonton Oilers A Warning Ahead Of Game 3
Game three of the Stanley Cup Finals is right around the corner, as the series is now shifting back to Florida, and Brad Marchand's teammate Sam Bennett just sent the Edmonton Oilers a warning.
So far the Stanley Cup Final has been a thriller for all of fans. In just two games, fans have been treated to 10 periods of hockey with both games going into overtime.
During the games, there has been plenty of controversial moments between the two teams, and who else to be in the center of all the attention other than Brad Marchand's teammate Sam Bennett.
The controversy around
Bennett is due to him constantly making contact with Oilers goaltender
Stuart Skinner, and it seems like he is being watched under a microscope considering his history.
Especially considering he injured Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender
Anthony Stolarz during the second-round, which played a big role in the Panthers winning that series.
During game one, Bennett ended up falling into Skinner, leading to a goal, and fans blew up with controversy on it.
And then in game two, Bennett was back at it again whenever he made significant contact with Skinner once again.
Following game 2, Bennett was asked about his antics during an interview, and was told fans were not happy with the way he has been playing so far, and Bennett had a warning to the Oilers fans.
"No, that's where I am gonna be for the rest of the series," said a defiant Bennett.
The Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers are currently tied 1-1 with the series shifting back to Florida now, and it'll be interesting to see if this controversy continues.
