In an unexpected turn of events, Philadelphia Flyers goaltending prospect Ivan Fedotov finds himself in a unique predicament.

His contract with CNKA Moscow of the KHL has been abruptly terminated, rendering him a free agent. Despite this, his NHL rights remain under the Flyers' jurisdiction.
