With Mitch Marner set to leave the Toronto Maple Leafs in the off-season, they are going to have some money to spend, and are expected to target multiple veterans.

The Maple Leafs once again did not live up to expectations this season, making it inevitable that changes are going to be coming.

A player who has emerged as a top candidate for the Toronto Maple Leafs is current Brad Marchand's teammate Sam Bennett, as he revealed that he is only really interested in playing for the Maple Leafs or Golden Knights.

There has been a lot of speculation that the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to target Brad Marchand, and with Marchand growing up a fan of the Leafs it makes sense.

NHL insider Chris Johnston just confirmed that the Maple Leafs are going to be targeting Marchand during the off-season along with many other veterans.

He stated that along with Marchand, the Leafs are going to look at Claude Giroux, Jamie Benn, and Patrick Kane.

Marchand or Bennett would be perfect fits for the Leafs as they are missing that type of gritty player, but other than that the others don't really make sense.

The Toronto Maple Leafs should be looking to get younger, not older and adding players like Kane, Benn or Giroux just doesn't make sense.

The Leafs are going to have an interesting off-season, and it will be interesting to see if Marchand does end up signing there.
