After an embarrassing loss to the Florida Panthers on home ice, former Boston Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo issued a shocking statement regarding his teammates heading into game 6.
The Toronto Maple Leafs looked like a different team to start off their series against the Florida Panthers in the second round.
They took an early 2-0 lead on the Panthers heading back to Florida, and even though they lost game 3, they still gave Florida a run for their money even without their top goaltender.
Since then, the Leafs have not looked good at all. They got shutout in game 4 to tie up the series at 2-2, and then embarrassed in game 5 in front of their home fans.
Florida ended up smoking the Toronto Maple Leafs
6-1, and the Leafs once again had a hard time finding the back of the net, scoring their only goal in the final minute of the game.
Now the Panthers are holding a 3-2 lead on the Toronto Maple Leafs after winning three straight games, and the Leafs season is now on the line.
After the game, former Boston Bruins defenseman Brandon Carlo issued a shocking statement on the team heading into one of the most important games of their season.

Carlo went on to say that he has the utmost faith in the group, and feels like they are ready to take that next step:
Brandon Carlo, who joined the #leafs at the trade deadline after beating them in multiple playoff series while with Boston, says: "I have the utmost faith that these guys are ready to take the next step."
The Leafs are known for chocking, and it seems like we are going to see that once again. It will be interesting to see if they can prove everyone wrong, but at this moment not many people believe in them.
