The Calgary Flames have found a trade for their star winger Matthew Tkachuk. NHL insider Frank Seravalli was the first to report the massive deal: '' Full trade, per sources: To #FlaPanthers: Matthew Tkachuk (extension in place) To #Flames: Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt and a 1st round pick.''

Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman confirmed the deal minutes later:

There is also a conditional fourth round pick going to Florida, and the 2025 first round pick going to Calgary is lottery protected. It's important to note that both Huberdeau and Weeger are free agents after next season with no extension set in place with the Flames as of now. Good chance both don't re-sign in Calgary next offseason as well. What are your thoughts?
