The Boston Bruins are off to a historic 12-2-0 record after a 3-1 win over the Calgary Flames at TD Garden on Thursday night.
With the win, the Bruins are now 8-0-0 to tie a franchise record for the longest winning streak to start a season, which was first set in the 1983-84 season. A streak that lasted from October 6th to November 11th.
As per NHL Public Relations:
''
Charlie McAvoy scored the game-winner in his season debut as the Boston Bruins (8-0-0) matched their franchise record for the longest home winning streak to start a campaign, first established nearly 40 years ago (1983-84).''
The Bruins are now three wins away from the 1963-64 Chicago Blackhawks and 2021-22 Florida Panthers, who hold the all-time record of 11 consecutive wins.
Can the Bruins break the all-time record? Here are their next four home games:
Sunday November 13th vs the Vancouver Canucks
Thursday November 17th vs the Philadelphia Flyers
Saturday November 19th vs the Chicago Blackhawks
Friday November 25th vs the Carolina Hurricanes
