While some weren't happy with his work this offseason, Boston Bruins' general manager Don Sweeney's overall body of work has been pretty solid.
The B's GM received some pretty significant news today which is definitely a tip of the hat to work he's done over the last couple of years.
Team Canada named their management group for the upcoming 2022 Olympic in Bejing and Sweeney will play a role.
Sweeney has been named as an assistant GM to Doug Armstrong who will hold the GM position.
Sweeney will be joined by Ken Holland, Ron Francis, Roberto Luongo and Scott Salmond as assistants.
Absolutely great news and well deserved for Sweeney!
