After basically a full year of Jakob Chychrun wanting to be traded away from the Arizona Coyotes, it has finally happened.
It turns out that the Bruins will be seeing a lot more of the young defenseman, as he's officially been dealt to the Ottawa Senators.
David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reported the news first:
Full Trade
To Ottawa:
- LD Jakob Chychrun
To Arizona
- 2023 1st RD pick (top-5 protected)
- 2024 conditional 2nd RD pick
- 2026 conditional 2nd RD pick
It appears as though the Coyotes lowered their asking price, or had to because no teams were willing to pay the premium.
Chychrun is having a solid season in Arizona with 7 goals and 21 assists in 38 games this season. The 24-year-old has two more years remaining on a $4.6 million cap hit.
