During the offseason, Boston Bruins management stated one of their main goals was to find a proper backup goalie.
It looks like they solidified that situation with the signing of Jaroslav Halak, and now it looks like he'll be much more than just your regular backup.
Halak has won his last two starts while only giving up a combined two goals and sits with a 1.51 goals against average and .947 save percentage on the season and has won four out of his six starts.
Meanwhile Bruins' starting goalie Tuukka Rask has a 3-3-0 record on the season along with a 3.15 goals against average and .902 save percentage.
The Bruins' don't play again until Saturday and it's sounding like Halak will get the start and could get many many more.
"I think Halak has been better than Tuukka, so he's got a few more starts than we originally scripted."
Looks like if Halak puts up another huge performance on Saturday, Rask might have to fight to get his starting job back.
