Chicago Blackhawks sign Jack Johnson NHL veteran to one year deal

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed a longtime NHL player to a one-year contract, made official Wednesday morning.
Charlie Roumeliotis of NBC Sports Chicago was the first to break the news, late Tuesday night:

Jack Johnson to one-year, $950,000 contract.''
The 35-year-old defenseman spent the 2021-22 season with the Colorado Avalanche and won his first career Stanley Cup after 16 NHL seasons. Johnson appeared in 74 games and recorded one goal and eight assists.
The veteran has collected a total of 72 goals and 240 assists in 1,024 career games with the Los Angeles Kings, Columbus Blue Jackets, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers and Avalanche.
He was originally selected third overall at the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes.
