Derek Forbort continues to impress as a member of the Boston Bruins.
The latest was with a short handed goal against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night, which was his second of the season.
With that goal on the penalty kill, Forbort joined a short list of Bruins defensemen to achieve a certain feat. As per NHL Public Relations:
Derek Forbort scored his second shorthanded goal of the season (also Dec. 13 vs. NYI). He is one of only four different Bruins defensemen with multiple shorthanded goals in a single season since 1992-93. The others: Zdeno Chara (2 in 2016-17), Ray Bourque (2 in 1995-96 & 3 in 1993-94) and Don Sweeney (2 in 1993-94).
