Every hockey player's nightmare became a reality for Derek Forbort on that night.
Hockey is a fast and physical sport and anyone who plays the game knows that it comes with its fair share of risks. Battling for a frozen disk while wearing sharp knives under your feet has led to some nasty-looking cuts and injuries over the years.

Under the circumstances, Forbort can call himself a lucky man.
Skating away from that game with the injuries he suffered is one form of luck, because things could've been way worse for the 30-year-old!
