With former core players like Zdeno Chara and Tuukka Rask gone and at least one more season of Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci, but what's next for the Boston Bruins?
The current younger core of the Bruins that needs to stay together to be successful is:
Brad Marchand is signed for two more seasons and will be a leader until his career is over. Linus Ullmark, who is having a Vezina calibre season, is also signed for two more years after this one.
However, Don Sweeney's number one priority has to be a Pastrnak extension. He's still young and a very important piece to the Bruins' current and, hopefully, future core. The longer he waits, though, the more it could possibly cost him.
There's no need to blow things up entirely and start a rebuild, but something that might not be totally out of question at this point.
