Must read on Bruins Insider
The Bruins already had a tough game on their hands at the Florida Panthers without Patrice Bergeron and
Charlie McAvoy out of the lineup.
Things will be even tougher as both Zdeno Chara and Jake DeBrusk will be out of action too.
Head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed that Chara and DeBrusk will miss tonight's game as well as Saturday's contest at the Tampa Bay Lightning with upper-body injuries.
Anton Blidh and Paul Postma were recalled from the Providence Bruins and have joined the team in Florida.
Torey Krug, who was also injured during Tuesday's game at the Carolina Hurricanes, was on the ice this morning and will be a game-time decision. If he can't go, Postma will draw in.
The Panthers have been one of the hottest teams in the NHL of late, going 8-1-1 over this last 10 games. This late season surge has them just four points out of the second wild card spot. It is starting to look like the final playoff spots will come down to the Panthers, Philadelphia Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets and New Jersey Devils fighting it out for three spots.
